New Latin Hip Hop Artist: LA NEFERA, “QUISQUEYA BELLA” @lanefera @ariannapuello @jakebeatz @mbfilms042

It’s safe to say there is no artist in the world like La Nefera. A female rapper holding her own in an industry dominated by male artists. A native of the Dominican Republic, rapping exclusively in Spanish, when most hiphop music is traditionally delivered in English. And doing it all from her adopted home of Switzerland. It is against this backdrop that she releases her new album A Lo Hecho Pecho (Spanish for ‘what’s done is done’), out today along with visuals for album track “Quisqueya Bella” featuring Latin Grammy nominee Arianna Puello, shot in the Dominican Republic and Mexico by 19-year-old director Miguel Alejandro. ALHP is released courtesy of Empire Music, the Swiss record label led by CEO Matthieu “MDB” Siegenthaler whose team is responsible for releases with Sonny Seeza (ONYX), Saigon, N.B.S., Mr. Cheeks (Lost Boyz) and more. Production is provided by Pearlbeatz, TOWITEDITS, Meister Lampe, DJ Tron and Thomas “Jakebeatz” Hof, who also directed both music videos from the album so far: “A Lo Hecho Pecho” (watch) and “Odio” (watch). Born in the Dominican Republic, La Nefera moved to Switzerland in her teens, forming the WS Crew which released the Nuestra Frequenzia EP in 2009. She is also part of female group Vybezbilder, which released the Skillz On Firealbum in 2015 (stream on Soundcloud). “We Dominicans call our homeland ‘Quisqueya Bella’,” says La Nefera. “This name has the origin in the Taino language, the spoken language of the first people lived on this island before the colonial powers of Spain and France came. I wanted to write this song, because a reason why I do music is to keep connected with my culture; juggling with my mother tongue, spreading latin vibes, heart, heat and love. That’s what the refrain is about. I asked Arianna Puello for doing a rap part. She is a very strong and known female rapper in the Spanish spoken areas. I appreciate her music so much especially when i started doing rap. She is also a Dominican woman who grow up in Europe. Her part is more critical, showing the dark side of our country and my part is rather showing why we – in spite of everything – still love and miss our home.”

New NY Group: THE ALLIYANCE, “VOICES” @thealliyance @ikp4president @rwswanny @baddassbilly @earthtonemuziq @gdafunkdrspot]

Comprised of I.K.P., who recently dropped visuals for “You Know The Drill” (watch), Billy Hood, EarthTone and producer/engineer Swanny River, The AlliYance’s first collaboration was the “I Be On It” single (watch the music video). The Alliyance recently released visuals for “Cake” (Youtube) as well as the “Seltzer Water” single (stream) from the Prequel mixtape which dropped July 1 (stream). “Swanny did the track and the dark vibe gave the rough idea for the hook,” I.K.P. says about the track. “It wasn’t until everybody spit their verses that the real message of the song came alive. We talk about real-world struggles of everything from identity issues, to perseverance in the face of discrimination and envy. When we did the video, it became a reflection of that same message as we personify our own demons.”

The 5 MCs here each functioning as individuals and as parts of a whole – like fingers, and like fingers they form to make a hold that is strong. in this case, iron strong. They form the iron fist to knock out all haters and opposition to the strong flows. Vast Aire is the thumb/the grip, Double A.B. the index/the pointer, SupaWave Osbourne the middle finger/F.U., Mo Iz Real – The Ring/Kiss the Ring, An Hobbes- The Pinky/The brain.”

New Artist: @1kingleez & Guce- Shinin on Em

Earlier this year King Leez let loose the featured-studded album Supreme Being that hosted noteworthy verses from Pusha T, Kevin Gates and Raz Simone. Following up that effort this summer, Leez returned with west coast legends Guce and Kokane for the foreshadowing clapper Just That Type from the upcoming collab project Bully Lyfe. Today Leez and Guce follow up with “Shinin On Em.” The 1st Born instrumental taps into a deep, rolling bass canvas and utilizes a hot sample of The Three Degrees “Golden Lady” on the hook between Leez and Guce’s tales of overcoming a myriad of adversities to shine on everyone in their way.

Legendary Artist: Billy Danze of M.O.P- “6 O’CLOCK BRIEFING” @billdanzemop @webuildhits @quinceytones

Brooklyn emcee and M.O.P. co-frontman Billy Danze presents the music video for his new single “6 O’Clock Briefing”. The track is produced by Quincey Tones, also known for his work with Ghostface Killah, Busta Rhymes and Jay Electronica. We talk to each other about the issues affecting our country, we march and protest, but we never ask the president how he feels. Understanding how things work, I say ‘we know you did what you had to do’. The president has done his best. But as a man, does he see what’s going on in this country?” “6 O’Clock Briefing” is out now on Danze’s We Build Hits imprint.

TL Hip-Hop, Cultural Community Unites to Promote Powerful Video:Kelly Kalosa- Smiling @kellykalosa #KidsLivesMatter #blacklivesmatter

Smiling PSA Stars 16 Yr.-Old Singer Kelly Kalosa, Painter Patcasso

Shot at Old “King of Crunk” Studio After Recent Deaths in Orlando, Baton Rouge, St Louis, Dallas and Nice, ‎France

Lil Jon, Vince Phillips, Grand Hustle, Shanti Das, Lil’ Scrappy, Freco, RHOA’s Tammy McCall Browning, Mama Dee Help Promote PSA Via Social Media

Atlanta, Georgia – Lil Jon, Grand Hustle, Shanti Das, Mama Dee, Lil’ Scrappy and several figures in the ATL hip-hop and artistic community are supporting a new PSA featuring 16 year-old singer Kelly Kalosa and performance painter, Patcasso. The effort is designed to speak out against injustice and violence and to promote healing with priority given to our children and the world they are witness to.

Recorded after being inspired by all the negative occurrences in recent times, the “Smiling” video was directed by William “Putt” Holmes and shot at the old Lil Jon “King of Crunk” studio after the recent deaths in Orlando, Baton Rouge, St Louis, Dallas and Nice ‎France. It was produced by J-Kits.

‎Artists such as Lil Jon, Mama D, Young Jeezy, Lil’ Scrappy are helping to promote it via Twitter, Facebook and other their personal social media platforms.

Kalosa’s father, prominent ATL music attorney Vince Phillips, said:

I’m proud of her. She wrote a song about humanity – in Atlanta, and across the nation we have seen our share of injustice and senseless killing. Instead of smiling, kids see on the news and sometimes right down their street, innocent people being shot and harmed. The bottom line is we need to come together as a human race – to remember that everything should be about our kids. It should always be about the kids. What are we teaching them?

Dallas based artist, Patcasso, is known for taking his fans on a journey while performance painting to inspired music. When he heard 16-year old Kelly Kalosa’s song, “Smiling” he felt it was perfect. He couldn’t believe such a young artist made the song.

Keliy has a great ability at 16 years old to reflect today’s life and times with her art in a way that captures it’s intense pain and yet is inspiring with hope. Her song provides me the soundtrack to express my hope and concerns for the world that my 2-year-old daughter is growing up in.

Along with her song, Kalosa is launching a movement of her own. #KidsLivesMatter. With the phrase Evolution Over Injustice (E.O.I.) she has introduced a new movement that the Atlanta Music community is embracing.

When I wrote this song, I really didn’t understand the importance people find in such simple words.

About Patcasso
Patrick “Patcasso” Hunter is a nationally recognized performance painter. He has performed at the Sundance, Essence and Bentonville Festivals and opened for personalities such as Snoop Dog, Ben Stein and Hank Aaron raising support for charitable causes around the country

About Kelly Kalosa
Now 16 years old. Singer songwriter Kelly Kalosa has been writing and singing her own music for 3 years. Her music inspires and is the essence of hope and positivity that speaks for a generation.

East coast rap collective The AlliYance presents “Seltzer Water”, the new single from The Prequel, their forthcoming debut mixtape dropping July 1. Comprised of I.K.P., who recently dropped visuals for “You Know The Drill” (watch), Billy Hood, EarthTone and producer/engineer Swanny River, The AlliYance’s first collaboration was the “I Be On It” single (watch the music video). “Seltzer Water” marks the first of a list of various content The AlliYance will drop every Friday through July under the hashtag #JulYance, culminating in the release of their debut EP Introducing… The AlliYance. “To understand ‘Seltzer Water’, you must understand our previous single ‘Sugar Water, Part 1: Phone Tap’ (listen),” says I.K.P. “‘Sugar Water’ was a reference to the colored juices and frozen ices mostly found at bodegas, 7-Elevens and neighborhood delis and how easily accessible those sweet frozen water treats are. We flipped that into a metaphor for infiltrating mainstream culture because those treats are everywhere and that’s where we want to be. ‘Seltzer Water’ is like the b-side to ‘Sugar Water’. Here we are more aggressive and rebellious, like the difference of how actual seltzer water is more bitter than sugar water is. Swanny River had a Wu-Tang sample he wanted to flip over the classic ‘Impeach The President’ drums to give something to our core that would get them ready for our summertime takeover. I heard the track and when Swanny was through with the beat, I said name it ‘Seltzer Water’ because Raekwon had a song called ‘Ice Water’ from Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. It just seemed to fit.”

The EP comes on the heels of visuals for “Good Space” (watch) and “Money” (watch). “‘Long story short’ is a common phrase used to sum things up or conclude something,” Shorts says about his new project. “It’s a phrase I happen to use often and recently I’ve been reminded by family that I’ve been using it for a while now. I’m a very direct/to the point type of person so the title/ideology of ‘Long Story Short’ coincides well with who I am as an individual. Inspiration for this project all came from real life events… new encounters/breakups/disappointment/daily experiences all played a part during the creative process… as the process took place, it created a brief storyline, hence the title.”

New Artist: FreshfromDE — “Home Is Where The Heart Is” @freshfromde

“Home Is Where The Heart Is” is an 8 track album produced 100% by Boston producer Rekordhead. Delaware’s FreshfromDEexplores the challenges of repping for his hometown and state, in the face of lacking a voice within the present world. You can hear the pride FreshfromDE has in his home and how he doesn’t hesitate to accept the responsibility of being the mouthpiece for his people, hometown and state.
Following the previous releases of the inspirational anthem “Doin’ Numbers” and the somber reminiscing on his days coming up back home on “To The Homies.” The album “Home Is Where The Heart Is” is all about using your past experiences, surviving your youthful mistakes and learning from them then being motivated enough to apply these aforementioned lessons to your everyday life to fuel you as you pursue your goals. Whatever those goals may be…

“Okay so I made this Sin With You record out of my own personal experience. That constant urge of late night lust and thirst for sinful adventure. This is my version of rhythm and blues. The connection of drugs and emotion being intertwined as one has always been a big thing in my music and as well as my lifestyle. This is when you let drugs take over your sexual urges. This is when it’s past midnight and you’re scrolling through your call log trying to fish and see who would catch that bait. This is that “Who’s Up?” Music. That Sin With You Music. ”

$100 off select PCs of $599 or more with promo code PCGRAD15. Valid 4/27 – 7/4.

“INTERIM” is a 7 track project that offers listeners a three dimensional view of Ave’s artistry, flow, and message. Songs such as “Make Believe” call attention to Ave.’s ability to switch up flows while verbally interacting with a captivating production. “Back Down” highlights Ave. Amen’s word play, and style, over an extraordinary instrumentation that has roots in his NuWave Music movement. The Intro song of INTERIM, “My Dream”, starts and ends with a recording of the late great Malcolm X addressing police abuse and misuse of power, while the song itself is a testament to Ave. Amen’s continuous pursuit of success in the music industry. The other four songs on this project provide the adhesiveness that will surly make “INTERIM” Ave. Amen’s best work to date.
